STEP 1: Stop by Station #1 in the Village on a Monday night between 7 pm and 9 pm and ask to speak with the chiefs about getting an application. Or give us a call to set up an appointment; (716) 937-9216 ext.116.

STEP 2: Fill out and submit your application. After receiving your application, we will review it at our next monthly meeting. Once reviewed, an arson background check will be done by the Erie County Sheriff's Office. If you are clear, you will be contacted by our membership committee.

STEP 3: Interview. The membership committee will contact you to set up an interview time. This interview will contain just a few simple questions, a tour of the facility, and more information regarding our onboarding process.

STEP 4: Voted on.  At the following monthly meeting, you will be voted on by our members. You are encouraged to attend this meeting. If accepted, you will be sworn in as a member of the Alden Hook and Ladder Fire Company.

STEP 5: Your first Monday night drill. We will help you get everything you need like the right size turnout gear, information, paperwork, and a mentor to walk you through this journey. Once that is completed you will be able to start learning what to do when the pager goes off.

Please inquire (info below) if there are any questions or concerns. We'd love to hear from you.
